ABOUT
A Japanese photographer influenced by Toshinobu Takeuchi and the early French photographers associated with the Barbizon School.
The sublime world that those early photographers found in the Forest of Fontainebleau remains a distant horizon for me. Yet it is precisely that distance that keeps drawing me into the forest.
Toshinobu Takeuchi’s vision seems to come from a distant source of light—forever beyond reach, however reverently I approach it.
Unretouched photographs.
